My Bio
I'm a 24 y/o photography student attending the Art Institute International Kansas City. Recently, I’ve been consumed with classes, so a lot of my class work is posted up here. Taking pictures has been a hobby of mine since I was in middle school, but I just recently started focusing on making it a career. I shoot a lot of pictures. Portraits. Landscapes. Architecture. Whatever captures my eye, really. My family, my friends, my animals – I love taking candid shots of people and capturing the rawness of a situation or expression.
Along with my pictures, I also have some of my writing here. Writing has been a strong passion of mine since I was small, beginning with my love of reading. The ability to get away from my own life and immerse myself in another world is exhilarating. I have always had a fascination with the English language. I love grammar and punctuation. Spelling and syntax. I write a lot of poetry to try and work with the language, even to the point where I manipulate and misuse every aspect of language. I’ve recently started attending a poetry open mic every week where I listen to other writers do spoken word pieces. I’ve tried to challenge myself and write more so that I can perform them in front of people.
Some things I love: Dr. Pepper with the occasional affair with Pepsi. pizza. fiction. scary movies. video games. supernatural. chaos. listening to people. people watching. being outside. all kinds of animals. kit kats. jim carey. being with my family.
